Six useful things to know.

Enough science to understand what you are buying. No white-coat theatre.

01

What is collagen?

Collagen is a structural protein found naturally in animals. It is present in connective tissues including skin, bone and cartilage.

02

What is bovine collagen?

Bovine collagen comes from cattle. AU uses bovine collagen sourced from Australian cattle.

03

What are collagen peptides?

Collagen peptides are smaller pieces of collagen protein created through hydrolysis.

04

What is hydrolysis?

Hydrolysis is the processing step that breaks larger collagen proteins into smaller peptide pieces. Our collagen processing uses an enzymatic process in Australia.

05

Why does origin matter?

Origin tells you where the raw material begins. Processing tells you what happens next. AU makes both parts of that story visible.

06

How do you use it?

Unflavoured collagen can fit into familiar food and drinks. AU also pairs collagen with bone broth and flavour in everyday formats.

THE AU DIFFERENCE

Australian cattle.
Australian processing.

Our bovine collagen is sourced from Australian cattle and processed in Australia. Processing begins at source using enzymatic extraction and hydrolysis to create collagen peptides.

That means the ingredient does not need to be sent overseas for hydrolysis and then imported back as finished collagen.

COLLAGEN QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Clear answers about AU collagen.

Is AU collagen made in Australia?

Our bovine collagen is sourced from Australian cattle and processed and packaged in Australia.

Is bovine collagen the same as bone broth?

No. Collagen peptides and bone broth are different ingredients. AU brings them together in selected food-first formats.

Is every AU flavour entirely Australian?

No blanket claim is made that every finished flavoured product is entirely Australian. Some herbs, spices, coffee, cocoa or other flavour ingredients may be sourced from overseas. Check the individual product label.
